Sala Silvermine

One of the best preserved historic mines in the world. You get to walk in the dark, windling galleries, visit magnificent subterranean halls and magic underground lakes. Skultuna Messingsbruk - Brass Foundry

The oldest company in the region of Västmanlands (even older than Sätra Brunn!) - founded in 1607. You find Skultuna Messingsbruk's products of course but also other typical Swedish products like glass from Orrefors/Kosta Boda, Textiles from Ekelund, Almedahls and Linum, Jewellery from Snö of Sweden. there is also a Museum and a beautiful Café.

On the premises you will also find an "Iittala Outlet" with products from Iitala, Höganäs, Rörstrand and Hackman.

Östanbäcks monastery

Östanbäcks monastery is part of the Benedictine Order and has been running since 1970. Ten monks following the  Benedictine Vows written around the year 500 ad. The monks work with manufacturing candles in a traditional way and they have a little candle shop where they sell candle, candeliers, reliefs, soap and woodworks. They celebrate Mass on Sundays at 8.30 am and also daily prayers and mass.
